A group wants N100 billion from FG for herdsmen attacks

The Federal Government has been dragged to court by the Human Rights and Empowerment Projects over the death of dozens of people killed by herdsmen in Nimbo community of the Uzo-Uwani Local Government Area of Enugu State.

The violence of the herdsmen has in recent times become very frequent with hundred of lives lost already and hundreds of millions worth of properties destroyed by the nomadic bunch.
The group is demanding for N100 billion from the Fedral Government in the suit filed against it.
President Muhammadu Buhari, Attorney General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, as well as the Inspector General of Police are part of the respondents in the suit.
The suit, with number  FHC/EN/CS/59/2016 was filed before a Federal High Court in Enugu and is to be presided over by Justice Rosemary Oghoghorie.
